Help Muna Get Her Status Finalized!

Hi everyone!!!

If you've received this link, you know that I've been in the city for almost 2 years now and that in that time I've cultivated a beautiful life (thanks to you humans).

I would like to stay permanently, and that requires some adjustments in my status as an immigrant. I have a lawyer that is working with me but unfortunately the cost of becoming an American is prohibitive. I'm tired of seeing opportunities (of which there have been plenty) pass me by because of my status.

I've proved myself to be valuable as a creative in my time here.  Almost made Vin Diesel cry with a piece in the Times mag AND went to Ferguson and wrote a piece for The Nation that Ben Jealous + Alderman French shared. (Insert joke about getting you a girl who can do both permanent status as an American).

I also recently started doing TV spots (including a spot for Spike Jonze on copwatch for VICELAND) and more broadcast but alas, LA MIGRA is an obstacle to continuing in that line of work.

I need to raise almost 3K for lawyers fees and filing fees which go straight into the govt's pocket. I have half of that saved myself but I need your help with the rest. ANYTHING HELPS. Pls Paypal me $5, I've been there and I will appreciate you for it.

I hate respectability narratives and the idea that migrants must be """deserving""" but that is my pitch on why I am good and deserve to stay. Help me stay and continue to be a Black creative in the city bc we need more!!!!!
