Help save Chip

While drive to work I spotted a tiny little fuzzy brown head in the grass right by a very busy road, I of course had to stop and save the dog. After bringing him home and giving him a much needed bath I discovered that this poor dog was completely infested with fleas, his nails were so long he couldn't put his paws flat, and he's  extremely malnourished. Every bone in his body showed when he was wet. Luckily a family reached out and were willing to help nurse, now named Chip, back to health. All seemed to be going well, until he started to have blood in his stool and seemed not very active. After rushing to get him a vet appointment, they discovered that Chip had been more than just starved and neglected, HE WAS SHOT WITH A PELLET GUN  and to make matters worse has heartworms and is need of a VERY expensive treatment to save his life. This pup is estimated to be only 2 years old and so his first experience with life has been beyond grim. Please help donate anything!!!! This sweet loving dog deserves a long healthy and happy life!!!! I cannot even begin to understand how cruel people can be to animals, let alone such a sweet little pup such as Chip.
