Hello and thank you for taking the time to read our story.

We are a family of 7 - myself, my husband, our four children, and our puppy Groot. We recently added to our family by bringing home a gorgeous Cockapoo puppy. We named him Groot. At just 6 months old, he’s the most affectionate, playful, gentle and loving dog and we can’t imagine our home without him in it.

Recently, after noticing something wasn’t quite right with his movement, we received devastating news. Our Groot has severe hip dysplasia – a debilitating, degenerative condition. His only chance is a full double hip replacement which we’ve been told by the vets will cost £14,000 (£7,000 per hip). Unfortunately without insurance, we simply don’t have the funds to cover this, especially anticipating the cost of Groot’s aftercare.

This is an unimaginable amount for our family, and we simply don’t have the means to fund the surgery ourselves. Without this operation, we will have no choice but to make the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep.

We’re asking from the bottom of our hearts for help. Anything you can give, no matter how small, can bring us closer to saving our little Groot and giving him the happy life he deserves.
