I am not the type of person to ask for handouts but now i am in a spot where anything even prayer will help. My son had a case of athletes foot and on may the 26th i had to take him to the e.r. That foot was swollen and black and blue. When we arrived his white blood count was very high. They said he had an infection and were going to treat it as staph. On May 27 he was life flighted to riley hospital in indy were they have an infectious disease dr. He was then taken into surgery where they found he had alot of infection in his foot its a flesh eating bacteria. Called Necrotizing Fasciitis. Its very rare especially in healthy people there is roughly 680 cases reported in the u.s. a year treatment consists of multiple surgersurgeries and antibiotics by i.v. he has been through 5 surgeries so far and still more to go as well as a skin graph on his foot from the bacteria eating his flesh. With all of this going on i have lost my job and im a single mother. All of my bills are due and were living day by day at riley with no release date. We have a long road of recovery ahead of us and i have no clue when i will be able to look for employment. With the stress of my sons condition i also have the stress of keeping us a home to go home to. I want to say thank you in advance for anyone that helps and would like to ask for peayers as well.
