Help Robert with Medical Bills

 

My name is Robert Schnepp. I am 49 years old and recently suffered a stroke.

 

I went to work a few weeks ago and began noticing numbness in my face and left side. That was followed by a noticeable weakness on my left side and started dropping various tools. It was then I decided to go to the emergency room.

 

Initially I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy and was told it was due to a viral infection, given a prescription for anti-viral medicine and was sent home. I was scheduled to fly to Florida in a few days to drive a sick friend back to Tennessee.

 

The night after returning home I suffered another stroke and could barely walk the next morning. I drove myself to the local emergency room where they confirmed I had indeed suffered a mild stroke. They instructed me to go home and rest for a few days.

 

The following morning I couldn't walk without falling so my friend immediately took me to my regular doctor who told me to go directly to Holston Valley's emergency department in Kingsport where I was admitted and scheduled for emergency surgery to clear a 70% blockage in my corotid artery.

 

i was in the CCU (Critical Care Unit) for about 10 days and am currently in rehab therapy at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee for the next few weeks where the estimated cost is about $45,000.00. I have no idea of how much my hospital stay will cost yet. I am unable to work my regular job as a commercial truck driver until I complete the assigned therapies and re-evaluation of my Commercial Driving License.

 

I do not have medical insurance and will be responsible for all of the medical bills I have incurred during the course of this illness. Therapy and rehabilitation could take months and I have no other income other than my regular job.
