On November 19, 2024, I, Janeen Coronado, met with a horrific accident involving an electric scooter. The impact of the fall shattered my arm, causing a series of fractures, including my wrist, two main bones in my forearm, and my elbow. I also face-planted onto the cement, resulting in a fractured nose and scrapes on my head and jaw, and unfortunately, the loss of my front teeth. The subsequent surgery left me with approximately nine metal screws and a few metal plates. While I am grateful for my survival and the progress I’m making in my recovery, the outcome of this accident could have been devastating, causing immense trauma for me, my friends, and my family.
