UPDATE 23 JANUARY 2025

Hey Everyone,

Unfortunately this isn't a good update!

I had to take john to hospital Sunday 12th as he was in serve pain. He was transferred to Perth with an infection.

Tuesday 14th john went in for what they thought would be a small surgery which turned into him being completely cut open again and placed in a coma.

He has currently had 3 surgeries and another planned for tomorrow.

Once all infection is gone they will close john up again. He is awake and out of ICU but a discharge date from hospital is unknown at this time. Also a return to work date is also unknown.

We are really sorry, john was really looking forward to coming back to work this week.

Lets hope everything keeps ticking along in the right direction

ORIGINALJohn and Tanya Turner along with their 3 Children Jake, Rylie and Chloe, haven't had the best 6 months. After a few tests, John was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve with severe stenosis and leakage and John needed open heart surgery to replace the aortic valve.

The surgeons decided the Ross procedure is the best open surgery for his ripe age of 30, but unfortunately this wasn't done in WA.

Surgery took place in Melbourne on October 18th.

John's is now home and his recovery will take at least 3 months and being self-employed, sick leave is not an option. He has income protection insurance but as his heart condition was pre-existing claiming is not possible.

We are hoping to ease the stress of financial pressure during John's recovery.

We thank those who have assisted this lovely family so far, your support assisted in the expense to travel and stay in Melbourne for 3 weeks.
