Hi, my name is Callum I am setting this fund up to help raise money for my friend Mathieu's funeral who sadly lost his life whilst surfing on 30th October in Lombok. I meet Mathieu when I arrive in Lombok and went to a surf camp where he had been working for 4 months whilst he was travelling. Over the week at the surf camp we became friends surfing during the day, going out for meals and enjoying a nights out singing and dancing. For the next 5 weeks we became more like brothers with a close bond than just friends and we continued to surf daily together. We had made plans to travel by starting with island hopping in indonesia for a week or so and then we were heading to Sri Lanka to surf on the 6th November. Unfortunately these plans were cut short when our morning surf on the 30th October ended in a tragic way with Mathieu dying doing something he loved. I'm gutted/sad/lost that Mathieu is no longer here to be my friend/brother I wish more than anything he was here and we were travelling together as planned. I decided to set up this go fund me page because I wanted to do something for Mathieu and his family, I have decided every day for 30days I will run 5K in Mathieu's memory and I am hoping in return no matter how big or small friends and family may donate to the fund which I will pass onto his family to help pay towards the costs of his funeral later this month/early December.

So all that is left to say is please help me raise some money to give Mathieu who was an amazing bloke a funeral he deserves, whatever you can donate is appreciated
