Mikey's USA National Deaf Soccer!

Hello everybody!

I created a gofundme campaign because I got invited back to the USA Deaf National Soccer team camp in preparation for the Pan-Am games (Qualifier for World Cup) and the World Cup in Italy for next year, but I need help with the expenses!

The USA Deaf National Soccer team camp is being held in California at the USA Olympic Training Center between July 22-25.  This is an amazing opportunity for the team as we will get top notch coaching in one of the best facilities where many elite athletes train for the Olympics.  It has always been a dream of mine to play the highest level of soccer possible, and as some of you may already know, I have been training for years in the weight room and many soccer fields (Started in my hometown Oberlin and the land of Cleveland!), with that dream on my mind my whole life, never letting anything stop me in my path to be the best player possible, despite my hearing impairment and Type 1 diabetes.  

With all of the hard work and sweat I have put in over the years, I am determined to have the best camp experience ever with the team, but I need help paying for the expenses to fly to San Diego and the fees to train at the USA Olympic Training Center (room and board, meals, training).  

So I set a goal of $1500, which should help cover some of the expenses and camp costs.  Any additional or leftover money will be applied to the Pan-Am or World Cup costs. This is a dream I have been pursuing for ages.  I would love to continue this journey and achieve my goals to represent USA for the deaf soccer team!  And most of all, I hope to be a role model for others to follow and realize that there may be many obstacles in our path, but if we put our hearts and minds to it, we can overcome adversity and still acheive the pinnacle of our dreams.  

With your donations, this will help me in the next steps to pursue my passion and hopefully, become an inspiration for others, such as I have been inspired by this team and many role models (family, friends, coaches, teammates) throughout my lifetime who has always supported me in my path and inspired me to be an upstanding player/teammate/friend/model in my community.
