Hi everyone,

I’m creating this GoFundMe for my mom — a strong, hardworking woman who has dedicated her life to providing for her family.

Recently, ICE activity has been heavily present in our area, and the fear for her safety has become very real. Just a couple weeks ago, there was a major raid in Paramount — right outside of her job and since then, ICE has been extremely active in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Because of this, my mom is currently unable to return to work. She’s terrified of being in the wrong place at the wrong time and right now, survival has to come before stability especially because little sister still lives at home and depends on her daily.

This is someone who has paid her taxes, followed the rules, and spent years contributing to this country while raising her children as a single mother.

We truly feel uncomfortable resorting to this — she’s never been one to ask for help, and she takes so much pride in doing things on her own. But right now, she’s struggling. She’s extremely worried about how she’ll keep up with rent, bills, and basic living expenses this month — responsibilities she’s always handled with quiet strength.

I wish I could support her financially, but I’m currently not in a position to give her the help she needs and anyone who knows me, knows if i could, I would in a heartbeat.

All funds raised will go directly toward covering her rent and bills for the month, just to help her stay afloat while she figures out her next steps.
