Hi, my name is Josiah Hudgins. I’m reaching out during a very difficult season in our lives. My wife and I are currently facing significant financial challenges due to ongoing medical issues and the increasing costs associated with them.

Earlier this year, routine blood work revealed that my liver enzymes and cholesterol levels were alarmingly high, along with multiple other abnormal results. Since then, I’ve been passed between specialists with no clear diagnosis or treatment plan. The uncertainty has been incredibly stressful, both emotionally and financially.

Despite our best efforts, the constant appointments, travel, and out-of-pocket costs (including procedures such as a $700 CT scan of my spine, neck, and brain) have led us into mounting medical debt. Our insurance has not covered much of the necessary testing and care, leaving us to carry the financial burden alone.

On top of everything else we’ve been navigating this year, my wife now needs surgery for a medical issue that we’re choosing to keep private for the time being. While it’s not life-threatening, it’s an important step toward getting some much needed answers and relief for health challenges she’s been dealing with for a long time.

Unfortunately, our insurance doesn’t cover everything. Between copays, prescriptions, time off work, and out-of-pocket expenses, the financial weight has become a lot for us to carry alone. Every contribution will go directly toward helping us manage these costs and get through this time with a little less stress.
