It breaks my heart to be in this position, but I need help from my friends, family, and community to cover veterinary expenses for my dog Rocky.

I adopted Rocky, who is now 5, when he was 2 months old. He is the sweetest pup, and my best friend in the whole world.

Although he’s normally happy, and full of life, his health recently took a turn for the worse. Just a few days after a vet appointment, we had to rush him to the emergency room. There, he was treated, and thankfully was able to go home with me.

However, Rocky’s symptoms have persisted for some time, and additional testing has identified what his Doctors believe to be Gastrointestinal Lymphoma, a type of stomach cancer.

I have done, and continue to do all I can to get my boy the care he needs, but further testing, and treatment is frankly very expensive. While Rocky responds well to treatment, and there’s a solid possibility of remission, I will continue to pursue care for him.

EDIT: We are on the cusp of a possible misdiagnosis! Rigorous additional tests were unable to positively diagnose cancer, with some test results actually arguing against it! Some of Rocky’s doctors are leaning away from the diagnosis, while others are more wary. I am trying to stay positive, and pray for the possibility of a full recovery.

Although nothing is certain, Rocky continues to improve with treatment. His symptoms have been completely managed, and he has been gaining steady weight. However, costs continue to be high with his need for constant appointments, medications, and expensive prescription food.
