College Student's Car Stolen and Returned, Damaged
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Angelique, and I'm a student at Tacoma Community College. My car was stolen right outside my apartment a few weeks ago and found by the police the following day on 14th and Ferry at a small homeless encampment... The window was broken out, and the ignition was severely damaged. When I went to get in my car that morning, I was shocked to find nothing but glass in my parking spot for they smashed the window to gain access and jimmied the ignition to steal car. I now have the Club so this won’t happen again. My mechanic (Robert Holmes) gave me a ballpark price of around $400 to fix the window and ignition. (Update price has since gone up due to mechanics charges). Please help, and may God bless you doubly.
It breaks my heart to look at it because the car was given to me by a good friend; God rest his soul. I need my vehicle to get back and forth to school, for I am getting my bachelor's degree in business/project management. Looking for a part-time job because rent just keeps going up.
I am treasurer of the BSU (black student union and allies) at TCC. We do a lot of volunteering to help our community, helping students and the community get essential items. I truly need my car to get to some of these events (i.e., Personal Item Drive (PID) see pic below, Toy Drives.) I and some schoolmates also are working on a rooftop garden (building 13), which needs to be tended to throughout the year and will be implemented in future project management classes. I and my class/teammates got an A on the presentation on the rooftop garden. I really need my car to tend to the garden, watering, weeding etc..
Anything helps. Will you make a small $5, $10, or $20 donation today? Donate $25 or more and get 'free gift' from my business, 'Angelique's Unique Africa Boutique!'
