On August 15, 2020 my mom was rushed to the ER after a few days of feeling sick. Unfortunately, she tested positive for Covid 19. On Tuesday night they notified us that she needed to be put on a ventilator to support her breathing. Friday morning her doctors called me and said she was stable and that they were planning on the removal of the ventilator. She was improving and breathing on her own. As planned, yesterday they removed the machine successfully. She was awake and stable. She told the nurse her name and was following all instructions given to her. They told me she got a warm bath and that she was peacefully sleeping. Unfortunately, she began to show distress, blood pressure dropped, and so they intubated her once again. They told me things did not look good and that her blood work was showing internal bleeding. They were unable to take her to an MRI or to the OR due to her pressure being so low. They advised me there was nothing more to do and that my mom was suffering. They made her comfortable and my mom gained her angel wings at 11:44am today. My family now faces the painful task of laying her to rest during this Covid pandemic. I ask you, even if it is $5.. to please help me and my family lay my mom to rest. May God Bless you and Please.. Stay safe.. protect yourselves and your loved ones.
My husband, my son, and I have been out of work for almost two weeks now because we too tested positive for covid. We are now going through financial hardship while trying to lay my mom to rest. My brother Ronald is Down Syndrome and will now be my legal and financial responsibility. Our lives shifted the wrong direction when my mom lost her fight with covid. Please help us with donations or sharing our GoFundMe page.
