Hello everyone. I would like to start off saying this is about a sweet little boy named Ben. He is 11months old and is absolutely the sweetest boy. He is getting ready to begin a journey that no parent ever wants their child or anyone else's to go through. Ben had some swelling around his eye, so his momma, being the amazing momma she is - took him to the doctor. The appointment only lasted 5 minutes before they were sent to CHKD for more testing. They were admitted after some testing when it was determined he had fractures and a mass around his eye. The following day, they found another tumor on his kidney. They are going to do surgery Monday for a biopsy and to insert a port. It was determined that Ben has Neuroblastoma - a form of cancer. A cancer of the nervous system that is created from an immature cell which never developed.
His first round of chemo should be starting on Wednesday. This is where I need everyone's help! Ben has a wonderful momma, a single momma at that, so she is Ben's full support system. This means momma isn't going to be able to go to work, or work a normal shift, for a while. I don't want this mother to have to stress about her baby and bills. We never know if he will have to be transferred to another facility. Please, if you could find it in your heart to donate anything at all to this wonderful cause to help Ben and his mother. They need to be able to focus on him and his health and not the finances associated with missed work. We would all greatly appreciate your help! Thanks for taking the time to read and donate.
