Our friend Ann Atrocity (Julié Erath-Dennis) needs a little help! She is struggling to maintain her emotional and physical health living in Louisiana. New Orleans is a magical place, but the people who call it "The Big Easy" are not always aware that it is anything but.... The New Orleans that the tourists see is not the same city for the brave people who live there..... Ann lost everything after Hurricane Katrina, while she is thankful to be alive after that terrible tragedy, life after that storm was never the same. Her PTSD is real, she twitches and flashes back frequently, she constantly worries if she will lose all her stuff to another storm all over again.
In addition to her mental state, she is struggling with life after a heart attack. She is struggling with recovery post congestive heart failure; she did have a pace maker installed, but since it's installation, she is finding the heat of living in Louisiana (where it is so hot they have a saying "it's so hot and so slow it takes me a week to cash my paycheck!") more unbearable every day. She stayed in Louisiana as long as she has to maintain a sense of stability for her children, she didn't want to uproot them again, she wanted them to be able to stay in their schools....but they are grown and out of school now, so now she has decided she would like to move.
She has a friend with some rental property in Lorain, Ohio. She has 13 years in the hospitality industry and is sure she can find a job working for one of the many hotels in the Cleveland area. She has been supporting herself, but she lives very paycheck to paycheck, has no savings and just wants a fresh start. Can we help her raise enough cash to help her move to Ohio, pay rent for a couple months and help her exist for a couple months while she gets back on her feet?? Any amount helps, and if we can show this lady there are people who care enough to help her out, think what a more beautiful world it could be.....
She needs:
$1500 to move her self and her stuff from Louisiana to Ohio
$1800 for three (3) months rent
$1800 for bills and food and other expenses during her transition
Total: $5000
Again, thank you so much for your time and consideration. Any amount is seriously appreciated and if you can share this that is just as meaningful. Life is hard, but friends and caring can make all the difference. Ann is a survivor, she made it through Hurricane Katrina, she raised her children, she survived a heart attack but she needs a small golden parachute to fly her to a more comfortable climate so she can survive the next phase in her life.
