Saving Ember ~ FIP Warrior
Donation protected
This sweet girl was adopted January 12th, and sadly, only 3 weeks later, she became very lethargic, was barely eating, was isolating herself and showing difficulties walking. During her 3rd visit to the vet within that week, they said they believed it was FIP.
If you’re like me, you’ve never heard of FIP before. Feline Infectious Peritonitis is a fatal disease that mutates from the Feline Coronavirus. Symptoms come on quickly and it is quite aggressive. Treatment for this disease is still in its trial phase, and it is a lengthy process (84 days of treatment + 84 days of observation) and is very expensive. However, it has proven to be very successful. Sadly, many young kitties develop FIP.
Proceeds will support Ember, who is only 2 years old and deserves a chance for a long and happy life. Her estimated cost of treatment is $4100, barring no complications. Any additional funds will be donated to other FIP Warriors in need. Any support is greatly appreciated!
