Erica Hicks Memorial Fund

The Erica Hicks Memorial Fund has been started to help ease her families financial burden and expenses due to her sudden death on January 20, 2016. Erica Hicks was a beautiful, joyful & healthy young daughter, twin sister and friend to more people than we have room enough to list. Her short life was as happy as her huge smile and formidable personality! She loved hard and with so much loyalty that once you belonged in her life & circle you were forever loved! Sarah & Erica could fill a room with so much fun and laughter that your face would hurt from laughing.  Her mom, Lori Upshaw  (my best friend since the age of two) and her twin sister Sarah will forever be missing a piece of their hearts without Erica in it. If one can possibly live with half a heart, they are doing it today!

On Tuesday night she went to bed with every expectation of waking the next morning and living out her wonderful life. However, sometime during the evening she left us and went home to her Lord & Savior in Heaven.  As we try to put the  pieces together & struggle through the aftermath of such a loss, we ask that you consider donating to the family who will be left to pick up the emotional and financial pieces. These funds will aid in burial costs, housing and paying off bills & loss of wages. The funds may also be used to move away from the home the twins shared, in an effort to put healing distance & space between the memories of the last place they shared and where Sarah saw her for the last time.

This is an amazing family... Erica was loved dearly! The loss of her life has torn a huge hole in so many hearts, that only God and time will ever heal it. If I can help them in any way I would consider it a complete honor...There are lots of plans to be made and many hard valleys to walk in the coming days and weeks & years; love should not have to hurt this bad...but unfortunately for them today, it does. Please help us ease some of their pain and give them the ability to relax and heal without undo burdens & struggles. This would be my gift to them! They've poured so much joy and love into my life and to repay them with this gift would be more than simple words could ever say!
