Help Michelle Get Back on the Road

We are raising money to help Michelle, our hero Mama, Office Admin Assistant, and Kinderhale Kitchen Manager, get back on the road!

Dear friends and Malamalama Waldorf School families,

Our amazing office assistant, Michelle, has experienced a hit-and-run accident where she was rear-ended. Luckily, there seem to be no serious medical injuries, however, Michelle's car, which supports her and her three boys, and delivers food for 46 children in Kinderhale, is now unsafe to drive. We all know how crucial a car can be, especially for a single working mom in a rural environment. Michelle rarely asks for help, but this is one of the situations where community is essential.

Unfortunately, Michelle does not have collision insurance, and the responsible driver can not be found. This emergency has left Michelle and kids without reliable transportation.

We are reaching out to you as our community in this time of need.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference and would help Michelle feel supported and hopeful.

Support is needed to help Michelle buy a new reliable vehicle that can carry 4 people or more on an everyday basis and continue transporting food to make daily meals for 46 students in Kinderhale.

Medical bills for Michelle's whiplash should be covered by no-fault insurance.

About Michelle:

Dedicated Kinderhale Kitchen Manager and Office Admin Assistant at Malamalama Waldorf School;

Loving and caring single mom of three boys who all attend our school;

Hardworking and resilient, always putting her family first;

Uses her car to deliver produce and groceries to the Kinderhale kitchen. As a small private non-profit school, MWS can not afford a school vehicle;

Lives in Ainaloa in a small house with no additional support.
