Tragically, On July 1st 2024, Our family’s lives changed forever. My beloved father Israel Perez, had what we all thought was a simple fall. It turned out to be anything but that. A trip to the ER, x-rays, and a CT scan gave us the shocking news nobody was expecting. A mass on his brain. A biopsy to determine the type of mass, and if it was operable & treatable was next. The biopsy was done on July 9th and we would have to wait a staggering 2-3 weeks for any results. Within that time, My dad was released from the hospital and sent home to rest comfortably while waiting. However, his stay at home would be short lived as he had a very quick decline. He was rushed back to the hospital on July 24th. My mom, brother and I received the devastating news on July 26th that he has a very large & aggressive glioblastoma. Due to its position, an operation would be fatal. And because he has massive swelling on his brain, chemo or radiation is not an option. The prognosis is grim with only a couple of weeks at most. yesterday, July 28th he was moved to hospice where the medical staff can focus on him and make him as comfortable and pain free as possible. This is a time where my mom, and 3 brothers Joel, Matt, Kenzie and I should be able to spend the next few weeks together and not have to worry about money. Humbly, I am asking if everyone can donate whatever they can to help in this time of need. No amount is too small. And please share this post with all of your friends.
