Malachi Barcellos Hunter Syndrome

Donation protected
Malachi (age 7) who lives in Colville, WA was diagnosed with Hunter Syndrome the last week of November.  Hunter Syndrome is a very rare genetic disease (only about 500 cases in the US) that does not have a cure and causes progressive organ damage, especially to the brain and heart and breathing problems.  Symptoms fall on a spectrum and Malachi is more on the severe end of that so his life will be shortened significantly.  There are a few treatments that may possibly prolong his life a few years.  He will need to make weekly trips from Colville to Spokane and also trips to Seattle for appointments with other specialists.  This will be a long and difficult road for his family.  We are raising money for these trips, for a better vehicle for their family, and other needs that will arise as his care becomes more intense and difficult.
