Help Willow Walk Again
Hi everyone.
Willow is a rescue dog from the Northwest Territory. She is a Siberian Husky who LOVES to run, play with other dogs, and pull a sled with her team.
Willow was recently run over by a truck. She is being monitored at the vet for internal bleeding and I am hoping for the best.
If she can make it through the next couple days she will need to be flown or driven out of NWT to Alberta to see a specialist because of the severity of the injuries to her pelvis and surrounding area. This is a huge expense but is necessary for Willow to be able to use her legs again, and hopefully to be able to run and pull the sled again in the future.
Willow will not have nearly the same quality of life if she is not able to run.
I am a recent graduate from the University of Guelph, and Willow is both a companion and emotional support dog to me.
Due to Covid-19 I am currently working limited hours at the NWTSPCA and would greatlyappreciate any and all donations to Willows cause.
Her treatments are likely to cost around $10,000 and in addition she will need to be transported out of the territory. I will also likely be out of work for awhile.
I understand that times are difficult for many people right now but please if you can, any donation would go a long way for us right now.
Thank you to everyone for donations, kind words, and thoughts for Willow’s recovery.
Jessie
