Help Hayden Heal

On September 6, my brother Hayden was hospitalized after a motorcycle accident on his way to work. Fortunately, he has no head or spinal injuries but has suffered multiple injuries to all his limbs. His injuries include numerous breaks, including his pelvis, legs, ankles, wrist, and two fingers. These injuries have left him unable to do most daily activities without assistance.

Since he cannot live alone, he has moved in with our father, his stepmother, and me. However, we live three hours away from his doctors.

Since Hayden cannot sit in our compact car, we've had to rent vehicles (from vans to U-Hauls) to transfer him to and from the hospital. Donations would help cover the cost of the rentals and hotel reservations that are needed for multiple-day appointments.

While Hayden has insurance until November, he will soon be turning 26 and going on Cobra. Even with his old insurance, we are still receiving bills from the ambulance and initial care.

Aside from hospital bills, we are dealing with the costs of medical supplies and professional in-home care. We are unsure of what the insurance will cover. All of these unexpected expenses have strained our resources. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Donations would mean a lot to Hayden, who should be focused on rehabilitation, and to his family, who want to make the recovery process as seamless and painless as possible.

Once again, all funds will help cover medical and auxiliary expenses.
