Help Save a Veteran's Home

I am raising funds on behalf of a close friend who served in Iraq with me. His wife recently left him, and when she did, she told him that she had not been paying their mortgage for the past 11 months. The house is in his name, but that bill was her responsibility, and now he's in serious danger of losing his house.

He doesn't know I'm doing this for him because he is too proud to ask for the help he so desperately needs. He works full-time but doesn't have this kind of money just lying around, so he doesn't know what to do. He helped me out so much as a friend and sounding board while we were deployed, I just want to start paying him back as much as I can.
