Our hearts are broken as we found out yesterday that one of our best friends son Ethan Mikesell was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia - All. Ethan had his 1st chemo treatment today. He is in good spirits considering what he has been through the last couple of days. Yesterday he had his port put in for his chemo treatment , bone marrow aspiration, and a lumbar puncture to determine diagnosis and a treatment plan. He will be in the hospital it sounds like until the end of next week to make sure that he doesn’t have any complications from treatment. Julie will be staying with him at hospital. Darin will be in and out as he will be home with their other 3 boys. This is going to be a huge lifestyle change for their family.
Darin and Julie are one of the best people that you will ever meet. They are very family oriented, and there boys have always been their priority.
As their friends we are asking for any donations that you may be able to help with. This will be a very long road for their family emotionally and financially. You are never prepared for these types of situations. They will have medical bills, transportation cost to and from the hospital and other expenses that will come up with this type of diagnosis. Taking stress off of them so that they are able to concentrate on Ethan during this difficult time is so important to us as their friends/family. If you are able to donate thank you so much, it is greatly appreciated! Please keep Ethan and his family in your prayers!! ❤️
Julie has set up a CaringBridge page that you can log on to for updates on Ethans treatments etc. and will be easier for her to communicate with friends and family.
