Pastor Fred Griffin is the Senior Pastor and Founder of Corona Church of the Open Door (CCOD). In 1998 he and his family moved to Corona, California where he envisioned God’s plan for him to build a life-changing ministry that would transcend customary religious traditions. The vision for Corona Church of the Open Door became clear when people in the community asked Pastor Fred to teach a Bible study. In 2002, he led bible study with 12 members and by 2003, Corona Church of the Open Door was birthed. At Corona Church of The Open Door (CCOD), we cannot stand the thought of turning away individuals/families who need our services simply because we do not have room to accommodate/provide for them.
We are a ministry that seeks to display the love of Christ for people of all walks of life with a desire to influence positive change in the lives of others through teaching the word of God, developing youth to become leaders, encouraging individuals to be disciples of Christ, provide much needed services for after school care and tutoring, the needs of senior citizens, feeding the hungry, providing shelter for the homeless and provide no fee counseling for children, teens and families to support the development of strong family foundations. We are not just another church asking for money. Our pastors believe that ministry goes beyond the four walls of our church and have a heart and vision for the community. Because of the increasing need for assistance to provide services in the local area, Corona Church of the Open Door has committed to building our church so that we may fully serve the community in the areas mentioned. In order to fulfill our mission, we need your help! “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” 2 Corinthians 9:7-8 . *All monies will be placed in our building fund account and used towards purchasing/building the church to meet the ever-growing needs of the community through CCOD.
