My name is Azooz Abdulrahman from Gaza, and I’m 16.
I used to be a diligent student with simple dreams: to keep learning and build a future for my family. The war changed everything.
But the war changed everything.
My Struggle
I lost my beloved father the person who protected and supported us. Our home was destroyed, and my school the place that gave me hope, collapsed. Overnight, I became the eldest responsible for my mother and siblings.
Now, instead of going to school, I search for water, firewood, and food. Prices are high, there is no steady income, and every day is a struggle. Still, I haven’t let go of my dream to learn here in Gaza, from home if I must.
My Goals
Support my mother, who is now our only caregiver.
Cover essentials: food, clean water, basic medicines, and daily needs.
Buy simple school supplies and study from home when possible.
Start something small that can bring a little income for the family.
Important
I am not asking for donations to travel or leave Gaza. Everyone knows crossings are closed and movement is heavily restricted. Your support will meet our local needs here: household essentials, my mother’s needs, and my basic education.
How You Can Help
Food baskets and drinking water.
Essential medicines and hygiene items.
Simple school supplies (notebooks, pens, a bag).
A small power bank/solar charger so I can study.
Basic tools to help us earn a modest income.
My Promise
Whenever possible, I’ll share brief updates on what we were able to purchase and how it helped. Our goal is clear and simple: live with dignity and keep learning from home one small step at a time.
Please help me stand by my mother and return to learning.
Every contribution matters: today’s meal, needed medicine, a notebook, or a small work tool. Thank you for believing that dreams can survive, even under rubble.
