My name is Melissa, and never in a million years did I see myself in this position.

my dog Ace ran out of the house last night and unfortunately got struck by a vehicle going full speed and the driver fled.

he is currently in the hospital being monitored for his breathing due to his lungs being struck in the accident as well as his blood cell levels due to all the internal bleeding he suffered causing him to bleed through his nose. Ace unfortunately now has a tailbone fracture that he will have to recover from in the next months.

This is something unforeseen that I would’ve never imagined. I wish I could wake up from this nightmare but all we can do is hope for the best.

Ace is the sweetest, loyal, most loving and curious dog I’ve ever met. If you’ve ever met him you’d know how much of a sweetheart and energetic kind of dog he is.
