On May 19th, my brother's and his girlfriend's home burned to the ground, a complete loss. Not only did they lose their shelter, but everything inside was completely destroyed as well. They are left literally with only what they had on their body and in his car. Luckily, nobody was in it when it happened so there is no personal injury or death.

My brother is the type of person who will drop everything and help friends and family out when they need it. They are not wealthy--they have no savings to use for rebuilding their life. The Red Cross helped with a few hundred and some vouchers, but clearly, when someone loses everything they own, it takes more than a couple hundred bucks to rebuild, and no, there was no insurance to help either.

Please contribute if you can to help him find a new place to live. We all know how insanely expensive it is in this area to start out in a new place with deposits and such. No donation is too small and every penny will be deeply appreciated.
