In Loving Memory of Jose Herrera
Jose Herrera, a loving husband to Carmen Herrera and father to 4, has been diagnosed and hospitalized in the ICU with COVID-19 complication. He has faced many complication as his lungs have been seriously affected and he has gone through many procedures which have lead him to be placed on a ventilator or also known as life support. He is now facing many other serious health conditions due to kidney failure, heart problems, fluctuation blood pressure and sugar and the virus affecting his brain stem which has left a great deal of uncertainty of which medical care will be needed in the foreseeable future. The doctors believed that he would be unable and had been unable to communicate and perform simple basic functions due to the damage to his brain stem. With few facetimes and phone calls allowed and us being unable to see him the doctors had told us he would not be able to communicate and allowed us a one time visit as they believed he was close to the end. In that one visit we were allowed we believe god had manifested his room and my father had given us simple responses such as closing eyes and simple moving of the head that the doctors had tried to receive from him since his procedures. He has given us a light of hope that the fight is not over and he still wants to fight! We greatly appreciate all the help and prayers.
I have set this campaign for my father in order toassist my mother Carmen Herrera. She will be the beneficiary for the rising medical expenses and continued stay in the ICU. We thank each and everyone of you for the prayers and continued support. We hope everyone take cares and stay safe as we continue to fight through this pandemic.

Jose Herrera, un esposo cariñoso de Carmen Herrera y padre de 4, ha sido diagnosticado y hospitalizado desde el 20 de Diciembre y está ahorita en los cuidados intensivos con la complicación de COVID-19. Ha enfrentado muchas complicaciones ya que sus pulmones están seriamente afectados y ha pasado por muchos procedimientos que requiere que respire con un ventilador o también conocido como soporte vital. Ahora enfrenta muchas otras condiciones de salud graves debido a insuficiencia renal, problemas cardíacos, fluctuación de la presión arterial y problemas con la glucemia y el virus que afectó su tronco cerebral, lo que ha dejado una gran incertidumbre sobre qué atención médica se necesitará en el futuro previsible. Los médicos creían que él sería incapaz de comunicarse y realizar funciones básicas simples debido al daño en el tronco encefálico. Con pocas horas de presencia y llamadas telefónicas permitidas y que no pudimos verlo, los médicos nos dijeron que no podría comunicarse y nos permitieron una visita única ya que creían que estaba cerca del final. En esa única visita nos permitieron creer que dios había manifestado su habitación y mi padre nos había dado respuestas simples como cerrar los ojos y mover la cabeza que los médicos habían tratado de recibir de él desde sus procedimientos. ¡Nos ha dado una luz de esperanza de que la pelea no ha terminado y todavía quiere pelear! Agradecemos enormemente toda la ayuda y las oraciones.
He preparado esta campaña para mi padre con el fin de ayudar a mi madre Carmen Herrera. Ella será la beneficiaria de los crecientes gastos médicos y la estadía continua en los cuidados intensivos. Agradecemos a todos y cada uno de ustedes por las oraciones y el apoyo continuo. Esperamos que todos se preocupen y se mantengan a salvo mientras continuamos luchando contra esta pandemia.
