This is embarrassing and unfortunate to have to do but I have very few options. I have completed a 7 day detox program and am staying in a clean and sober house while I’m awaiting a spot for residential treatment. It’s a three month program. I’d love for my kitties to have the best care while I’m away but most people are either allergic/can’t have pets/already have dogs… I’m really trying to get everything back on the rails and I’ve been working really hard but without income I’ve fallen into debt with people I love. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. I’ve never been unhoused before, so I am extremely grateful to finally have found the resources and support Hawai’i has to offer. Don’t get me wrong, I know this is my fault but it is also a disease. I’m working hard and am fully committed. I will do whatever it takes to remain sober. Thank you for all of my loved ones.
