I NEED A KIDNEY!!

Hi, my name is Kelly VanVleet. I am 39 years old, wife and mom of 2 amazing kids and a full time social worker. I am in kidney failure as a result of IGA Nephropathy. IGAN is a kidney disease that occurs when an antibody called immunoglobulin A (IgA) builds up in your kidneys. This results in local inflammation that, over time, can hamper your kidneys' ability to filter waste from your blood. As a result of this, my kidneys are failing quickly. This came as a big surprise a few years ago as I had no idea anything was even wrong. I am seeking an organ donor to SAVE MY LIFE so that I can continue living life to the fullest and not tied to a dialysis machine. I want more than anything to live a long life, participate in my children's lives, travel and be the best mom and wife I can be. God is still good even in our sufferings.

3. Donate to the transplant journey. There are many costs associated with transplant, including, deductibles, co-pays, continued testing, medication costs (anti-rejection meds are very expensive!) for the rest of my life, transportation and lodging and most of all, time off work during recovery time and follow up visits. I will be meeting my out-of-pocket maximum for the rest of my employed life.
