A very good friend and my partner at work has been getting hit with some really, really heavy stuff for a while now. He is one of the most authentic and caring people you'll meet and switched his career later in life to work in 911 so he could make a difference and be there for people. Now he needs us to be there for him. His close family member is  beginning the battle with a few different nasty cancers and he needs to be there with her to go through it. He'll need to miss work which means that he will be missing a lot of pay. Any help is bigger than you might imagine and goes deeper than you think!

The union has also set up PTO donations so you can call scheduling to figure that part out.
