Hello One and All,
- I am writing today on behalf of my best friend Danielle, whom was very recently diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer. This came as a huge shock as she is only 38 years old. Danielle, is a single mother of an 8 year old autistic son who she has been raising alone because her partner and father of her son passed away when she was only 4 months pregnant with their only child. Unfortunately because of her partners early passing she does not receive financial help through child support or survivor benefits. Danielle also does not qualify for state assistance such as TANF or food stamps. She is the sole provider in her home of 2 which makes meeting her needs with no PTO difficult. Danielle started Chemotherapy 9/21/23 and will soon lose her hair and down the road she will need a double mastectomy in order to save her life and ensure the cancer does not return. Unfortunately she is not able to return to work for the better part of 7+ months she is already struggling financially and she is not sure how she will afford rent, utilities, food and also the means for wigs etc. She is doing all she can to reach out to extra resources at this time and so far has had no success. Please, if you have the means to make a donation it will immensely help her and her son and relive some of the pressure of this unexpected diagnosis.
