My name is Cherish. I'm Amiya (Sissy)'s mom. SHE IS 3 YRS OLD. We have been in Vanderbilt since 5/26 in PICU due to her catching a virus that led to getting admitted to PICU, which led to her aspirating and going into cardiac arrest. I haven't left my baby's side since she has been here. I sacrifice spending time with my other 2 kids to solely be with Sissy. I stay around the clock, so I'm unable to work right now. She has been on VA ECMO and on a ventilator since 5/27, has been off for about a week, but is currently on dialysis due to the aspiration and cardiac arrest. Her kidneys took a hit, so they don't work. It took 26 mins of CPR to get her back, 10 mins with no oxygen, so she had a stroke on her brain. She has had heart issues, her rectum torn, staph in her lungs, a UTI, and blood in her urine. Today, I was told she has a fungus growing in her blood. I'm making this post in hopes I can get some help financially. If you can't, that's okay. I ask that you pray for us because me and Sissy need it. I'm trying to be brave and strong like her. She is fighting to come home; she is just really sick still. sissy has came along way off ecmo and venaltor to bipap to cpap and high flow nasal canal back and forth im so proud of how strong my baby is. she also started peeing again and is off diaslsyis her body is still very weak from laying in bed working on getting her back to breathing on her own and future plans are to go to inpatient physcial therapy in Atlana GA.
