Our VWL Support Team is striving to generate enough funds to buy a building that is used by Voluntarios sin Limites and Vsl Centro de Rehabilitación para Mujeres.
Patricia Orozco is the President and Founder of Volunteers Without Limits. VWL is celebrating their 10th year serving the San Felipe community as a social service organization. What does VWL do?
1) Operates a woman’s live in drug and alcohol rehabilitation center that currently has 17 women in treatment. *This is the building that we are attempting to purchase. The women receive 12 step-based treatment as well as spiritual, mental, emotional and physical help from psychologists, and a Doctor.
2) VWL cooks AND delivers 140 meals daily to the elderly, sick, and disabled, that do not have other options to receive food. The commercial kitchen is also housed in this building and the meals are prepared and deliver.
3) VWL provides children’s and adult diapers and Ensure nutritional supplements to the disabled and elderly every 15 days.
4) VWL provides wheelchairs, canes, crutches, clothes, blankets, bedding, shoes, etc. to those in need in the community.
Over the last 10 years, VWL has helped with Doctors visits, medications, school uniforms, lab tests, surgeries, rebuilding of homes after disasters etc. etc.
VWL has done extensive remodeling and additions to the existing building and it would be cost prohibitive at this point to walk away and attempt to start over.
We will be needing the funds by November 2019, and are currently in negotiations with the present owner.

We have been in business since 1997, my wife and I work together (yes still married), and our son, a true family business. We LOVE San Felipe, which is a small fishing town on the Sea of Cortez, home to many of the Baja races.
My team and I would be very grateful of any donations that come in, it doesn't matter if it's one dollar or a hundred dollars, every cent counts.
If we do NOT make our goal by November, we hope to at least generate a down payment for the present owner who hopefully will be willing to generate a payment plan for the balance.
