Help save our family home from foreclosure!

I desperately need your help ASAP to help save our family home from foreclosure! I know this is a HUGE ask, and once again, it is shamefully difficult to do, but I have run out of options. This house has been in my family since 1979, and has been the home my children have grown up in.

I'm a single father, and life post pandemic has been particularly difficult.

Where we are at: The bank is currently reviewing my options for “assistance”, however, those options I’m sure only involve selling, or in some way disposing of the house. I’m NOT at a point to do that at this time. I actually don’t know how much time I have right at the moment, but I KNOW if I pay this by Friday the 12th, I’m safe (I know that’s not a lot of time).

How we got here: I owned this house outright until my divorce in 2010. I had to take out a mortgage to pay my attorney. Everything was hunky dory until the end of the pandemic in 2022. YES I needed some help here and there, but I made every single payment on time no problem. In 2022 I got a little behind, and the bank helped out. Then I got a big gig job and paid that even.

By mid 2023 my gig jobs had kind of dried up. I got behind again. The bank helped out again. I knew that I had until March 2024 to catch up. In November of 2023 two gigs landed in my lap that would pay about $30K. I was going to be alright.

Then they went on hold in December. Been back and forth with both clients, and one case has already settled, and the other doesn’t look promising now either. Any other gig work I have had has helped to pay utilities and such. But I am out of time now.

My gig work just won’t cut it anymore and I am going to have to go back to a steady 9-5 with someone. The gig work helped me to be free to take my one adult child to her MANY medical appointments (they will be having their 6th major surgery in September). But I HAVE to take care of this family financially, and we are just going to have to figure out how to deal with their medical appointments and surgeries another way.

Every penny I have ever received has gone to bills. No vacations, no new furniture, or big concerts, or really anything. In the last two years if I DID go out in anyway, it’s because someone invited me and paid.

This is a desperate call for help. I’m so sorry to have to put this out there. It is public, and for everyone’s view. Share it far and wide. If you know any big philanthropists, send it directly to them please. Our family (I have two adult children that live here still in their early 20’s) is counting on all of your wonderful people. Believe!!! I’m not giving up!!!
