Support for Kieron – Charity Football Match
Kieron, a dedicated husband, friend, and public servant, has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) – a life-limiting neurological condition that progressively damages parts of the nervous system, leading to muscle weakness and loss of mobility. There is currently no cure, the condition is life limiting and impacts every aspect of daily life.
Just three weeks before their wedding, Kieron and his wife Natalie received the devastating news. Since then, they’ve shown immense strength and love, facing the challenges ahead with courage and determination.
Kieron has spent his life serving others – first in the RAF, and now as a serving police officer with Greater Manchester Police.
To help raise much-needed funds for essential equipment and therapies that will allow Kieron to maintain his independence and quality of life, a charity football match will be held on Sunday 1st June. The game will see Kieron’s friends, family, and colleagues take on the Jet2 All Stars team in what promises to be a fun and meaningful day.
Funds raised will go towards items like an adjustable bed, equipment, and ongoing neuro-physiotherapy, which costs between £80–£100 per hour. These are vital in helping Kieron navigate life with MND with as much independence and comfort as possible.
In the spirit of hope and progress, 10% of all donations made on 1 June during the matchwill also be donated to support the development of Ellorarxine – a novel drug developed by NeraGenetic, which has recently received approval to begin its first human trials. This groundbreaking treatment holds promise in the fight against neurodegenerative diseases like MND, and supporting its advancement could one day benefit many others facing similar diagnoses.
We understand the financial pressures many are facing right now, and any donation—no matter how small—is deeply appreciated. Every pound makes a difference, and your support means the world to Kieron, Natalie, and all who love them.
Thank you for standing with them.
