Help needed for funeral arrangements
Donation protected
Our beloved mother, Orvida Cochrane, was born August 10, 1968 in New York. She is the youngest of 7 children, borne of Geraldine Alexandra Provitt. She had a civil union to Keith Walker and has 7 beautiful children and 3 granddaughter's who survive her. She was a wonderful loving woman who attracted the attention of many whom got to know her; enough that they all consider her a second mother for whom they all shared a deep and meaningful bond. Her favorite past time was to stay out late and howl at the moon, and spend hours on Twitter, Facebook and TicTok sharing her political views and making photo collages. While she may have recently turned 52, she was truly and forever will be 25 at heart. Even when she had nothing much to give, she would give whatever she had and then, go above and beyond. She was truly selfless in every sense of the word.
Recently she passed Saturday, September 5 from unknown breathing complications. As you can understand, this sudden death is very hard on our family. Unfortunately, her life insurance relapsed, so we have no means of paying for a funeral, let alone keep ourselves afloat. With heavy hearts, we turn to you, the people who knew our mother, and even those that didn't know her. Despite her abrupt passing, we want to give her the burial she deserves. We want the people who knew her to know that we are praying and doing everything in our power to hold strong and stick together.
As our father is bedridden due to his surgery for his ankle. he wanted to let people know that she is finally happy. She was strong and proved that she could do things that others didn't think they could. We love and miss her dearly and anybody who feels as we do should join us in celebration her memory and remember that her legacy lives on in all of us.
To those that knew her in life, and to those that don't, we are desperately in need of funds. If your able to donate anything, we can see to it that our mom can be sent off properly. In you doing so, you'll honor her memory and help her family lay her to rest and help us find strength to make it through another day without her.
Our older siblings, Sheena Cochrane and Geraldine Drakeford will be in charge of arranging funeral plans to bury her in New Jersey where our grandmother also lies.
