My name is Ray Velasco.  I am seeking the generosity of monetary donations to help me through the journey of a second kidney transplant.  After my first successful kidney transplant from my youngest sister Jill, I had twenty-three fulfilling years. Now, I am at the top of the list to receive a kidney.

During those twenty-three years, I was a transplant athlete, organ transplant and tissue spokesperson.  I did this locally, nationally and internationally.  During that time, I met many donor recipients who would not have lived without someone saying, “YES” to organ and tissue donation.

By saying, “YES” to a monetary donation today, you would be helping me get through my second kidney transplant.  The donation would help cover accumulated dialysis expenses and costs incurred during the transplant process.  It would also assist me with the two-month post-surgery recovery.
