My name is Leann and I am Donna Morgan's cousin, and I'm trying to help them alleviate some of the hospital bills.

Donna was diagnosed with diabetes as a young child. The diabetes started affecting her kidneys. As she got older, the kidney function got worse. At the beginning of 2025, she was put on the transplant list. On September 8, Donna had a successful transplant surgery. A couple of weeks later, she was back in the hospital with an infection in her knee from surgery she had 2 years ago. They have tried so many mixtures of antibiotics that didn’t work. Some antibiotics settled in her brain and have affected her speech, walking, and thinking clearly. She has been in the hospital this time for 50-plus days. She has insurance, but her co-pay has added up so far to $36,000. She will eventually go into rehab, which will have more co-pays. Donna is unable to work and her husband is retired from the military. They own a small business, The Spud Spot, which doesn’t bring in a lot of income.
