Yvonne Zubiate fighting stage 2 breast cancer

Hello Family and Friends,

As some of you may know our mom, Yvonne Zubiate was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer 2 months ago. She will also begin chemotherapy this week. Our mother has been traveling to El Paso the past two months and will continue to receive treatment every two weeks after her first treatment. Our mother must make the 4 hour drive from Presidio to El Paso to be able to receive the adequate treatment that will suit her treatments. The news has been frightful for our family to process and accept but we stay strong and united for her. The doctors are very optimistic that she will recover after a few moths of intensive treatments as well as surgery. Even though this is the beginning of a long road ahead for our mom and all the family we continue to remain hopeful for a successful recovery.

Our mother is currently employed by the Presidio Independent School District and is a Parent Liaison for LRFMS. Our mother is provided with insurance through employment, but unfortunately it will only cover a certain percentage of treatment expenses. As our mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer traveling expenses, and medical expenses have accumulated. We are here today to humbly ask you all for your help to be able to cover some of these expenses with anything you could possibly donate. No amount is ever to little.
