The Matthews family is currently facing the devastating reality of losing their beloved son, Casey. Anyone who knows the Matthews family knows what it feels like to be unconditionally loved by them all, and at this time, I am asking on behalf of the family to think of them in their time of need.
Anyone who knows the Matthews knows of Casey's journey and the heartbreaking events that have led to this devastating reality. For those who do not, Casey Matthews, is an extraordinary young man with profound Autism, and is now nearing the end of his life. Despite Casey being deeply loved and fiercely advocated for every step of his life-- Casey faced extraordinary challenges and endured unimaginable suffering including abuse and obstacles from agencies meant to protect him. Throughout it all, Casey has always been given unwavering care, patience, and devotion from those who loved him.
Casey is expected to pass away, and at this time, my hope is this GoFundMe can allow the family to be focused on what matters most -- keeping Casey comfortable, surrounded by love and dignity so he can find peace in his final moments -- without the overwhelming burden of medical and funeral expenses, as well as the financial and legal costs of seeking justice for the abuse he endured and addressing failures by agencies that impeded his right to a safe and dignified end of life experience.
As the Matthews walk through this unimaginable loss with immense strength, my hope is to help surround them with the same care and support they have given Casey from his first breath to his last. If you are able to donate, share this fundraiser, or keep the Matthews family in your thoughts and prayers, it would mean more than words can express. Your kindness will help ease a financial burden so they can focus on what matters most—being with Casey.
Nobody will ever have greater words than Casey's parents, Christine and Mark, so here is a message from them below:
"Casey is our beautiful son and is suffering. Watching your child hurt and not be able to tell you what he needs is a pain that breaks something inside you. We are exhausted, scared, and trying every second to make sure he knows he is loved and not alone.
Accepting help is hard for us, but the kindness shown has lifted weight we could not carry anymore. If you give, share, pray, or simply think of Casey, please know it matters more than we can say. Thank you for seeing our son and helping us survive the hardest moment of our lives."
Thank you everyone for your kindness during this time.

updates: we are so grateful an thank everyone for sharing and your kind donations! From our success to us far GoFundMe wanted some additional information which you can find below.
I, Chelsea Pingitore, am running this fundraiser for Christine and Mark Matthews Sr —Casey’s parents, and they are the sole beneficiary of all donations. All funds are going directly to them.
As for how I know Christine and Mark, is from nine years ago when they welcomed me into their family after losing my mother and have become my second family ever since. I know I could not do life without them, and wanted them to know they are not in this fight alone.
