Pelham Grad Thesis Research Trip
Donation protected
I am attending University of Central Florida for my Master's Degree in History. Also, I teach high school AP World History and have a ten month old daughter. I became a teacher because I wanted to inspire students to learn about the past, so that they could apply it towards their own lives. Throughout my time attending the University of Central Florida, I learned I had a passion for European History, specifically in England around the 12th century. I decided to pursue a Master's Degree so that I could begin teaching at an institution for higher learning.
For my thesis paper, most of my primary sources have not been digitized. They are housed at three locations in London: The National Archives at Kew, the British Library, and the British Museum. Scholarships for European studies are very rare. Therefore, I am asking for help to fund a trip to gather primary sources for my thesis. My research will focus on economic choices that were made on estates and manors and how it affected peasants throughout Medieval England from 1086 until the end on the 16th century.
