Hi, we are Joseph and Tanya, and our 1 and 1/2 year old Frenchie needs your help. She had a sudden and unexpected collapse the other week, that turned out to be a Herniated Disk in her spine. She's had a successful surgery and now we are starting the long road to recovery and rehab.

We fell in love with Lola the moment we met her. She was the runt of her litter, and we were more than happy to give her a loving and caring forever home. We would do anything for her.

On Wednesday June 14, she awoke from a nap, yelped, jumped off the couch and collapsed onto the floor. Her limbs were stiff, she had difficulty breathing and she looked in shock. Tanya was home alone at the time, and didn't know what was happening. She thought Lola was dying in front of her eyes. I came home a few minutes after, and we rushed her to the DMV only a 5 minute drive away.

After an overnight stay at the DMV and an MRI in the morning, the neurologist conlcuded that she had a severe herniated disk that needed to be operated on immediately. The operation was a success, but still carrried with it it's risks.

Lola can barely move her limbs, and it is an extrene struggle to do so. With some Rehab, over the next few months, we hope she can walk again like she used to, but this is not a garauntee.

So why the fundraiser? The final bill from the DMV was $16,850. We pulled everything we had in our savings, with the rest being put on Credit. We have Dog Insurance, but it will only cover $2,500. We applied for the DMV Foundation for help (they help owners in financial need) and they granted us $1,000. The money fundraised through here will be used to help pay the balance of the Vet bill. Any money raised that surpasses our goal, we will donate to the DMV Foundation. We don't want any other owners to go through what we did.
