Support Joe's Fight against Leukemia!

Dear friends and supporters, I am writing to you today, on behalf of our dear friend, husband, and father Joe O’Connor. Joe is currently battling Leukemia and will be undergoing aggressive treatments at the University of Chicago for the unforeseen future. While Joe is showing great courage and strength as he battles this beast of a disease; the expenses of his healthcare will soon burden his family. Despite having insurance, the treatments, medications, and hospital stays will add up to an exorbitant amount. Joe is a wonderful father to his two teenage daughters and wife who adore him and rely on him. As the sole provider for his beautiful family, Joe will be unable to work his physically demanding job as the main mechanic at his small business, Competition Transmission. While undergoing treatments, we would like to make sure that all Joe has to worry about is getting healthy and strong enough to fight this terrible disease - we don't want him or his family to have to worry about finances or medical expenses. Joe is a young and vibrant man who has so much to live for, and he is one of the most incredible human beings you could ever know. He is always the first person to give you the shirt off his back whether he knows you or not. We believe that with the help of his friends and our community, he will continue to fight and overcome this awful disease. His positive attitude and determination have been an inspiration to all of us, and we know that he will become stronger from this battle.
