Hi, my name is Natalya. I am studying as a midwife at University and have been accepted and offered to take part in an amazing opportunity to take 2 weeks away to Der Es Salaam, Tanzania to study and learn more about midwifery. I have always wanted to study abroad and when this opportunity came I couldn’t say no! Tanzania is very different to the UK with regards to care in the hospital, the lack of equipment compared to what we have in the UK hence this trip would be very eye-opening and interesting. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and i’m so grateful to be able to take part.

To help with funding I am doing a fundraiser and any contributions will be highly appreciated. I will be taking part in running 4-5days every week until I go (29th August) and aiming to be able to run 10k by the time of placement. This I am hoping will help fitness levels but also will be an incentive for my fundraising.
