Hi, I am Brittany Hodgin and I am trying to help raise funds for Peyton Warren who is the 14 year old daughter of my lifelong friend Brittany Warren Padgett.

She is fighting a rare disease called Chiari Malformation and Syringomyelia which is also causing her to develop a form of scoliosis. This week she was told by her neurosurgeon that her condition has become so sever that she is one wrong move from becoming paralyzed for life.

She has been to multiple doctors, hospitals, specialists and had a serious of test and imaging done over the past 10 months leading up to the diagnosis.

Chiari Malformation is a birth defect that causes the lower portion of the brain known as the cerebella tonsils to hang below the skull opening protruding into the spinal canal. Sever cases of this disease can cause Syringomyelia which is when fluid is forced in to the spinal cord forming a cavity called a syrinx this fluid build up causes sever damage to the spinal cord and if left untreated can cause the patient to become paralyzed.

After surgery Peyton is looking at a long recovery process. She will spend up to a week in the hospital and require multiple physical therapy sessions and follow up appointments over the next few months.
