Britton Iron Shirt Celebration of Life Fundraiser
Donation protected
Britton Iron Shirt passed away on Sunday, March 20th, 2022 at the age of 20 years.
Britton was born in Calgary, Alberta on September 13th, 2001. He was raised, lovingly, in Calgary by Roxanne and Lyle Donauer. Britton graduated from Bishop McNally High School and began pursuing a career in law at SAIT in 2019.
Although Britton’s time with us was cut far too short, he made a great impact on those around him bringing humour and charm to the spaces he entered. He will be remembered for his brilliant personality and bright spirit, nicknamed ‘Bright Light’ by his Uncle Rod.
Britton had a great passion for soccer. He advanced through several teams throughout his adolescence. He loved to read and engage in games like chess that challenged his intellect. He also enjoyed golf. Britton enjoyed spending his summers at his Uncle Rod and Aunty Cathy’s lake cabin, boating, ATVing, swimming and hiking. Britton was particularly proud of graduating high school and was eager to begin his law education.
Britton is predeceased by his parents, Carmen Crazy Bull and Philip William Ironshirt. Britton is survived by Roxanne and Lyle Donauer, his siblings: Farrah, Robin, Kyle, Lauren, Brittany, Shaelee, Cameron, Jacob, Brooklyn, Matthew, and Gracie. His fraternal Grandfather Philip Red Young Man, his maternal Grandmother Shelley Crazy Bull, as well as all who knew and loved Britton including numerous Uncles, Aunts, and cousins in the Iron Shirt, Crazy Bull, and Donauer families.
We are fundraising for a land plot at Prairie Sky Cemetary in Calgary, Alberta where Britton will be laid to rest. Any funds above the fundraising goal will go towards a headstone and expenses related to the celebration of life. All other costs have been covered.
