Daddio is pretty dang bad

So my dad passed out for the 3rd time 3 days before Thanksgiving. He shattered 2 bones in his ankle and ended up on life support for 4 days in ICU. He is now stabilized in the pulmonary care unit in a hospital in Florida. He's been in for 10 days now. At this point we're grateful that it looks like he's out of the death spiral but now he needs to get a plate put on on one bone in the ankle and a pin on the other. We're looking at 6-12 months of recovery. Anyway, my plea is this : His hospitalization was only covered 100% for the first 9 days. He'll be in there for probably another 2 weeks. It's costing them $250 per day after the 9 days for hospitalization. If you don't know my dad, he's 6'5" and weighs 250. He will have to go to a rehabilitation facility for at least 8weeks once he's released from the hospital. His insurance will cover %100 for 16 days and then they will have to pay $150 per day after that. Ugh, as you can imagine my dad is a Vietnam veteran, and is retired on a fixed income with his social security so this is going to be a major financial hardship. And this is all before the costs of in-home care once he hopefully returns home. I wish that Pete and I were in a position to cover all of these costs but unfortunately we are not. Any help that you can give to my mom and dad would be so grately appreciated. And if you can't give financially, please just send your prayers
